The Heart Scale (Japanese: ハートのウロコ Heart Scale ) is a type of item introduced in Generation III .
In the core series games Price Effect In Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire , and Emerald , Generations IV to VII , and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl , it can be given to a Move Reminder to teach one move to one Pokémon.
In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, after using 10 Heart Scales total, the cost is permanently removed and the Move Reminder will continue to teach Pokémon moves for free.
