Hmmm, where do people keep getting this Daisy thing from? I honestly don't see why so many people think Tracey is hanging around Daisy. We saw that ONCE, where Daisy asked Tracey to fix a leaking pipe. When has Tracey ever shown interest in her?
As for the play, they didn't particularly refuse. Misty just said it was a silly idea and shrugged off her sisters' suggestion. They didn't "dislike" the idea over it, as they certainly didn't look disgusted or anything.

I'm not talking about the number of episodes. I'm talking that Tracey probably visits the Cerulean Gym a lot off screen, judging by the Hosos. Misty's never really surprised to see him there, which means he must visit her a lot.
Meanwhile, what HAS Misty done to Ash in their AG meetings? In the Mirage Kingdom 2 parter Ash and Misty barely got anytime to speak. May was more obsessed with Misty than Ash was.
Likewise in the 3 parter in Pallet, Misty spent more time hanging around Tracey in the field than with Ash. If she still liked him, why didn't we have a scene where Misty and Ash caught up with each other? Afterall Misty hasn't seen Ash in MONTHS, surely if she still liked him she would want to have a conversation with him about it.
Misty on the other hand was far more flustered with showing off her nice new Azurill (the present that Tracey gave her, the child of his Marril), and spent a lot of time hanging around. The writers even went as far as showing a double Misty/Tracey team-up against Team Rocket with their cuddly Marril and Azurill team.
And then in that Clefairy episode of course, we got our first taste of Masumishipping in the show. (Misty + Max). Of course it was just Misty and Max reasoning with each other that they both have older sisters who are annoying at times, yet they know they mean well for them.
So after the big Hoenn "journey", Ash and Misty finally meet again. And do we get anything shippy? Not quite. Ash spends time with his old Pokemon again, he greets Max and spends a lot of time with May. Misty on the other hand is too preocuppied with her Azurill, spends time with Tracey, and then gets ambushed by Team Rocket. Ash and May sit on the couch together while Delia blushes over them (Delia seemed REALLY impressed with May by the way, as this was the first time Delia met May), as Ash asks May is she wants to continue traveling under him. May, seeing as how Ash is her mentor and best friend, agrees of course. And it's funny that when Max asks if he can go with them too, May gets angry and says "Only if Mom and Dad consent!" Methinks May wanted to travel with Ash alone.
And as in the end of the Clefairy ep, there is no big goodbye. I find it amusing that after Misty spends what...2 days with Ash that there is no fond farewell. After those months of not seeing Ash while he was in Hoenn, Misty doesn't mind Ash going off on another big journey. The goodbye this time was pretty underwhelming compared to GCYL. Which means that Misty had a heavy crush on Ash when she left after Johto, but after spending time away from Ash while she's in Cerulean, she's finally maturing and getting over her crush. After all, we can't imagine Misty sulking over Ash forever now can we? They don't even wave or anything, Misty just says goodbye to Max and turns around and walks away. I've also noticed that Ash himself doesn't particularly miss Misty in Hoenn, as he looked surprised/underwhelmed when he saw Misty in his house, yet put on a huge smile when Max and May showed up. Really interesting.
