The Typhlo Cavern (Japanese: バクフーの大空洞 Great Bakphoo Hollow) is a type of hideaway seen in the Grand Underground. It can only be accessed after the player obtains the Explorer Kit in Eterna City from the Underground Man, and features Pokémon that roam the cave freely, instead of being found in tall grass.
Geography
Typhlo Cavern is large rock, sand, and lava filled cavern, with dry, yellow grass. Some rocks are taller than the player, and must be navigated around, as well as the various pools of lava.

Visible Encounters
After the player fulfills a particular objective during their adventure, another group of Pokémon are added to the pool of possible encounters. The spawn rates for certain types are influenced by the active "Statue Effect" applied by a player's Secret Base Statues.
Rare Spawns
Rare Spawns run concurrently to the existing encounter table, and use independent percentages for their rates.
Trivia
- This location is named after Typhlosion.[1] However, the English releases truncate the name to only "Typhlo" whereas other languages use Typhlosion's name in full.
- While Typhlosion cannot be found here, its earlier stage Cyndaquil can.
